Stone Mountain Park

Atlanta is a beautiful city with lots of parks and outdoor locations for engagement sessions. One of my favorite spots is Stone Mountain Park. It's huge, so there are plenty of options for backgrounds and scenery, plus the park is always wonderfully landscaped. Plus, it's just a really pretty spot to spend an afternoon. I had the pleasure of doing an engagement session at Stone Mountain Park last weekend and I thought I'd share some images from the session with you all. If you're looking for a romantic spot for your engagement photos, I highly recommend Stone Mountain Park!

Stone Mountain Walking Trails

Stone Mountain Park has around 15 miles of hiking and walking trails. In this 15 miles, you can choose six different spots to shoot your engagement pictures. There is the Cherokee Trail, the Walk-Up Trail, Nature Garden Trails, Songbird Habitat Trails, King's Trail, and the Trail of the Muskogee.

Having your photos taken in these hiking and walking trails give you an amazing opportunity to get beautiful and unique shots. It is also a simple and romantic setting to capture one of your most treasured memories with your partner.

Stone Mountain Mill

On the east side of Stone Mountain Park, you will find a hundred-year-old grist mill. This is by far the most picturesque spot in the park.

Grist mills are common in the Atlanta area because they were used to ground grains. They are usually located at the center of a town.

The Stone Mountain Park Mill is a gorgeous backdrop for your engagement photoshoot. The mill itself is a work of art and showcasing it in your engagement photos will bring your pictures to a different level. Don't forget to consider it for your photoshoot!
